02/10/2011 - The joys of payday and grants.

I got my first paycheck for working at the local pub this Friday. That, plus tips (which people are not very generous with, it turns out) and a little eBaying has brought my total funds to just over £1000. This means I'm nearly 1/6 of the way there! =D I have plenty of shifts coming up and another G4S event that I'll be getting paid for soon, so you should see my fundraising bar filling up a bit more quickly over the next few months.

I also received a letter the other day from a grants trust that I applied to several months ago. I just applied on the offchance - I figured it couldn't do any harm. Anyway, they've decided to grant me £300, which is very exciting and generous. They'll be sending me a cheque made out to ACE in the next few months. I should probably look into applying for more grants and things - they would help significantly.
