09/07/2011 - First eBay sale!

Today I made my first sale on eBay!

So far I've only put up my old Pokemon cards - I'd seen some sell on eBay and thought I may as well give it a go. One of those lots was of "Topps" cards, which I wasn't really expecting to sell since I have no idea what they really are. But someone sent me a message early this morning asking if I would be willing to sell them now...so I did! and I've made a whopping...94p profit. Whooo.

It's better than nothing. And if I sell lots of things for that kind of profit than I'll make lots of money! Haha.
I would have made more but eBay and Paypal fees are ridiculous. eBay takes 10% of the final sale price, and Paypal takes 20p + 3.4% of the sale price plus postage. And when you're selling stuff for a couple of quid that 20p is noticeable. =(
I've read about something called "Micropayments", however, which I think I'll implement for selling all of my small items. It sounds much better.

So, with the amount of change I've managed to save in the past few weeks, I'm £21.09 closer to going to Africa. Hey, I'm getting there!
