Today I finally got paid for working at the V Festival. Not too impressed with the £58 of income tax, but I should be able to claim it back, so I'll cope. It's certainly increased my total. =)

In other news I've finally managed to get a steady job, after many hours of wander around handing out CVs and several interviews. One of the local pubs had a vacancy and decided to give me a chance (even though I have precisely zero bar experience). I did my first shift this afternoon - it was rather overwhelming as there was so much stuff to learn (particularly when it comes to the food, which I still can't work out on the till). It was pretty fun though, although my next shift is Saturday evening which will be a lot busier and therefore terrifying. But I've been wanting to try my hand at bartending for ages now, and it's something that will always be useful to have if I want to earn myself a little extra cash in the future.

So yeah. Wish me luck!
