21/07/2011 - Interview goodness.

I had an interview for G4S today - they're a huge security company, and they're hiring casual staff to cover events. I applied to be a safety steward at V-Festival next month, but if they accept me than I can do other events too.

The interview wasn't really an interview...it was a group thing - we had to watch a video telling us about the company and what the role would entail, and then fill out the longest application form I've ever seen. Finally we answered a couple of questions - why we want the job, how we heard about it, and that was it. They now check out references and things, and I should hear from them in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it'll be good news!

The pay (for V-Festival at least) isn't amazing, but I'd be working 10-12 hour days, so it'll add up over the weekend. Hope I get it! Would be nice to have a little income, even though it's not a steady job.
